7 DAYS IN CORFU – A COMPLETE GUIDE
7 DAYS IN CORFU. First time in Corfu. What to do? What to see? Where to eat? How many days to stay? by Angelina & Antonis
Those were some questions we had before we booked our flights to Corfu. That’s why we decided to book a 7 days trip to Corfu! Quick reference to Corfu’s history, an island that reflects the fact that years were spend under the Venetian, French & British rule before it was re-united with Greece. An island that is located in the northwest coast of the Ionian Sea.
In this blog post, we are about to give you answers to the above mentioned questions. And of course, to convince you to visit this pretty island of Greece, Corfu!

HOW MANY DAYS TO STAY IN CORFU?
Corfu is a quite big island. Unlike Mykonos (85 km²), Santorini (76km²) and Paros (196km²), Corfu has an area of 583km²! And each km² has to offer so many things! Our advice for how many days in Corfu, is simply as many days as possible. A minimum of 4 nights, and a maximum of 7 nights! If you want to add more islands in your trip like the Paxous, then you must add + 2 days.
The old town, the crystal clear waters, the “bali” style beaches, the private caves, the local restaurants, the villages, the views, the fortresses and many more are some of the reasons to visit Corfu.

If you are like us, and you want to explore Corfu island and you also want more flexibility, then the only option is by renting a car ! It is actually the best way to get around Corfu and what we recommend! There are many car rental companies in Corfu, however we found out that only local Corfu Car Rentals are offering great prices! The one we found is called Sunrise Rental Corfu and the good thing about them is that they don’t need any deposit! For our 7 days in Corfu, we rented a manual car for 203 Euros! You can book yours from their website.
Additionally, another way to get around Corfu is by Taxi. For long distances although it can be quite expensive. Routes from Airport to Old Town are about 10 – 12 euros.
