Grecotel The Roc Club Vouliagmeni, REVIEW
Vouliagmeni at its best
What can one expect of the surrounding neighborhood?
Exploring the area around Grecotel The Roc Club was a highlight of our trip, and it made us feel like we were discovering Vouliagmeni’s hidden gems every day. The first morning, we decided to wander down to Astir Beach, only a short walk away. It was early, and the beach was quiet, with soft waves and just a few others strolling along the shore. It’s the kind of spot where you just want to breathe in the salty air and let the world slow down a bit. We couldn’t resist visiting Astir Marina too, especially after spotting the stunning yachts from a distance. The marina is brand new, gleaming in the sunlight, and feels like a little world of luxury all on its own.
One afternoon, we took a quick five-minute drive to Glyfada—perfect if you’re in the mood for shopping or grabbing a coffee at one of the trendy cafes. Glyfada’s streets are lined with everything from high-end boutiques to local stores, so we found ourselves wandering for hours. Then, just to change things up, we ventured over to Vouliagmeni Lake. The lake is famous for its natural hot springs, and dipping our feet into the warm water felt like pure relaxation. The Roc Club Vouliagmeni truly has it all, from lively city vibes to peaceful natural escapes right around the corner.

What to expect from the room?
Walking into our room at Grecotel The Roc Club Athens, we felt like we’d stepped into a calm, stylish hideaway. The decor was modern but cozy, with soft lighting, elegant touches, and a view that pulled us straight toward the balcony. Our suite offered a sweeping sea view that we couldn’t stop admiring—the Aegean stretched out right before us, shifting colors with the changing light. Though not overly spacious, every detail in the room seemed carefully planned to make the most of the area, from the super comfy bed to the thoughtfully placed seating by the window.
Each evening, we’d find ourselves drawn to the balcony to watch the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink and gold—a peaceful way to unwind after exploring Vouliagmeni. With the room’s design, the amazing view, and the restful vibe, our stay at The Roc Club Vouliagmeni was everything we needed for a relaxing escape near Athens.

How about the restaurants?
Dining at The Roc Club Athens became a daily ritual for us, and honestly, the restaurant’s cozy, art-filled atmosphere made it easy to settle in for long, leisurely meals. While it only has one restaurant, it covers everything from an à la carte breakfast to an all-day menu that runs late, plus a great selection of drinks and coffee. Each morning, we started our day in this inviting space, with walls decorated in eye-catching art and outdoor seating shaded by lush trees. It may not have a sea view, but the ambiance here is something special, making each meal feel like a relaxing escape.
We ended up trying a bit of everything, which gave us plenty to look forward to. Breakfast was our first adventure—starting with freshly brewed coffee and a round of guacamole and warm bread. As we soaked in the morning calm, we couldn’t help but plan our order for later in the day. Lunch was usually something fresh and light, like a classic Caesar salad or Greek keftedes, perfectly seasoned and paired with a refreshing drink. We took our time, sitting in the outdoor area where the trees gave it almost a hidden-garden feel.
Dinners were where we got a little adventurous. One night, we ordered the pinsa Margherita, with its perfect crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese. Another evening, we went for the burger, which was juicy, loaded, and exactly the comfort food we needed after a day out exploring Vouliagmeni. But the highlight? Definitely the steak. Cooked just how we like it, each bite was tender and full of flavor, making it the perfect way to end the day. With its mix of fresh Mediterranean options and casual comfort dishes, The Roc Club’s menu had something for every mood and made each meal something we looked forward to.
From breakfast to late-night bites, dining at Grecotel The Roc Club was more than just a meal—it was an experience that gave us a new way to enjoy the laid-back, artistic vibe of the hotel.

What about the quality of service and facilities?
The service at The Roc Club Athens was something we’ll remember. The team was professional, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was eager to make our stay smooth and memorable. It didn’t feel like the formal, stuffy kind of service you find at some hotels; instead, it was warm and welcoming, just like a friend who’s excited to show you around.
The facilities were equally impressive. The hotel doesn’t have a spa, but the pool surrounded by rocks, more than made up for it. Located on the elevated ground floor, it offered stunning views of the Vouliagmeni area and the Aegean Sea. Swimming or lounging by the pool, we had that perfect blend of relaxation with a view that made it feel like we were living in a postcard. Plus, the pool area was quiet and peaceful, giving us a great spot to unwind after a busy day exploring the neighborhood. All in all, the combination of excellent service and great facilities made our stay at The Roc Club Vouliagmeni feel even more special.

Our final thoughts
All in all, our stay at Grecotel The Roc Club was nothing short of fantastic. The location in Vouliagmeni is unbeatable, with beaches, cafes, and natural beauty at every turn. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, the service is top-notch, and the dining and facilities make it feel like a complete escape.
