We recently stayed at the Amathus Beach Hotel and had a truly exceptional experience. The hotel takes its name from the ancient city-kingdom of Amathous, a historical site located just a few minutes’ walk away. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel offers guests a truly exceptional experience. Despite its secluded location, the hotel is just a short drive from the vibrant city of Limassol, where guests can explore a wide range of luxury boutiques, high-end restaurants, cinemas, and beach bars. The hotel itself offers an array of facilities and amenities, including a state-of-the-art spa, multiple pools, and a kids’ club, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing and indulgent getaway.
Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located just a 40-minute drive from both Larnaca and Paphos airports, making it easily accessible from anywhere in the world. What to expect from the room?
We stayed in a spacious and beautifully renovated room suite. The room was elegantly decorated with wooden elements and dark accents, creating a warm and luxurious ambiance. The high-quality linens and modern bath amenities added to the overall sense of luxury and comfort, and we particularly appreciated the large TV, cleverly placed in a mirror, which was the perfect way to unwind and watch a movie before bed.
The highlight of the room, however, was the balcony, which offered stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and provided the perfect setting for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine.
How about the restaurants?
As guests of the luxurious Amathus Beach Hotel, we had the pleasure of enjoying a full board stay, which included a wide range of delicious meals served in the Kalypso Restaurant. Open all day from 7am, the restaurant offers a variety of culinary options to suit every taste and preference. The breakfast buffet is particularly impressive, featuring a vast array of fresh fruits, local salads, cheeses, cold cuts, and other delicious options.
Furthermore, the lunch and dinner buffets are equally sumptuous, offering a wide range of dishes to satisfy even the most discerning palate. Each day, the buffet features a different theme, allowing guests to sample the many flavors and cuisines of Cyprus and the Mediterranean region. We particularly enjoyed the Cypriot, Mexican, and Asian buffets, which offered a wide range of flavorful and unique dishes.
In addition to the delicious food, the Amathus Beach Hotel offers a range of bars, from the elegant Athina Lounge and Blue Breeze for cocktails, to the beach bars and Shisha Lounge. Overall, our dining experience at the Amathus Beach was truly exceptional and added to the overall luxury and comfort of our stay.

The swimming pools, tennis courts, and spa were all exceptional.
